Refund Policy
Full Payments

Pro-rated refunds are available for the Annual Bus Pass with a $25.00 processing fee.  The processing fee is waived if you cancel before the start of school.  Pro-rated refunds are based upon the date you return the bus pass to us, based upon any unused months.   We do not issue partial refunds for unused days during that month.  Please include your credit card number and expiration date along with the bus pass as our system does not keep the information.


Monthly Payments

Full refunds are available before the start of school.  After the start of school, a refund is available if the number of payments exceeds the months of service.  Refunds are based upon the date you return the bus pass to us.  We do not issue partial refunds for unused days during that month.

How to Use a Different Route or Bus Stop

If your student has an Annual Bus Pass, please write a note to the driver for each occasion granting permission to use a different route or bus stop.  If you don’t have an Annual Bus Pass, please purchase a One Trip Pass in advance.

Late Buses and Text Messaging
Late Bus?

Call First Student dispatch at 925-926-0375.  Annual Bus Pass holders are eligible to participate in our text messaging service.  We’ll text you if your bus is running 15 minutes late.  View our text messaging policy here.  Note:  Some cell phone carriers may block our texts.  Contact us for instructions to unblock your phone.  Contact your phone carrier for any continued issues.

Late buses, lost items, planning a field trip?

Please call First Student at 925-926-0375.  Lost your bus pass?  Call the school bus office in Lafayette at 925-299-3216.

Replacement Bus Pass

Students must have a valid bus pass to ride the school bus. If your student has lost or misplaced their pass please order a replacement pass. The fee for a replacement fee is $5. Please allow 3 days for delivery by US Mail.
